And true to the slasher film’s roots, her look is an ode to 90s grunge makeup. “I made a Pinterest board for the director and for my makeup artist Caroline Olweny, and there was a lot of 90s film references — think Drew Barrymore and Chloë Sevigny with short blonde hair,” Gabbriette tells M·A·C.

While Gabbriette typically opts for a concealer lip in real life, she got into character with a blurred, brick-toned red that she describes as “burnt” and “bloody” (she is a true-crime podcaster, after all).
