What is meant by satin finish?

Textures in makeup and skincare are varied in all products from the individuals skin to the desired effect. Satin textures can be found in both foundation and lipstick formulas. When we refer to a satin texture this is almost a perfect hybrid of matte and shine. In lipsticks, satin gives a high opaque colour and creates a creamy dream-like finish on the lips with a very soft and barely-there sheen. In foundations, this is a texture that will offer both hydration and oil control with the right balance of both characteristics.

Our satin lipstick range offers all types of colours, from rich ruby reds to taupey browns. One of our classic satin lipsticks is the shade Spirit, a beautiful muted pinky-beige brown which looks stunning paired with the right lip pencil on all skin tones. Whirl Lip Pencil would perfectly define this shade to give the lip a soft structure.

When it comes to a satin texture on the skin, the perfect go to is our Studio Waterweight SPF30 Foundation. This is a stunning formula due to its serum-based formula, making it beautifully suited for all skin types. With an SPF of 30 and a soak of hydration, this sheer to medium coverage foundation is the ultimate long-lasting skin product. If you want the perfect base to go with the lovely satin look, our Natural Radiance Primer layered underneath is the perfect combination. Delivering results of radiant and glowy skin, these are products that are an absolute must-have for everyone!
