What is a good everyday lipstick color?
A good everyday Lipstick colour tends to be a shade that looks and feels natural on. It’s a colour that you can pop on when you're wearing very little makeup and it makes you feel good, but you can also dress it up with a fuller look and it makes you feel great. It should be something you can wear with jeans and tshirt or meeting friends for a lovely lunch.
These types of lipsticks are normally found in the nude or natural colour family so would be a shade close to or matching your natural lip colour. For a deeper skin tone I love to use shades like MAC Double Fudge and Consensual for that Everyday Beauty look. For a dark skin tone, an everyday lipstick colour I would choose would be either MAC Touch or Whirl. An everyday lipstick for a medium skin tone would be colours like MAC Creme In Your Coffee and Velvet Teddy and for a light skin tone I would use lipsticks like MAC Modesty or Down To An Art. I always describe these shades as bottom of the bag colours. These are Lipsticks that you carry with you everywhere. Colours you can put on in the dark with a mirror and they instantly make you look and feel ready. These are power givers to help you get through the day.
PRO TIP:
Don't forget to use a Lip Primer like MAC Prep & Prime Lip to help keep that lipstick and the power lasting all day.
