Make-up artist Neil young exclusively shares his tips with Now magazine on how to create that A-list finish. Last season, we had glossy, matte and the stained lip to choose from, but for autumn there’s only one detail that counts - the geisha girl cupid's bow. It's a sharp V drawn into the upper lip with lipliner that gives pretty, pouty effect. Choose an angular lipstick to make life easier. MAC's very own Director of Make-up Artistry Terry Barber uses Mac Lip Brush 316, Lip Pencil in Redd , Select Cover Up Concealer, Prep + Prime Lip, Lipstick in Lady Danger to create the perfect '1980's Power Lip'.

"Take your usual face concealer and pat over the lip line using your fingertips. The aim is to blot out the natural edges of the lips so the end result has more pop. Select a bold lip colour, such as MAC's Lady Danger and apply it to the inside of the lips…using a small lip brush. Using the same lip brush, blend the colour from the inside of the lips towards the outer edges. Terry recommends applying lip liner over the top of lipstick…to add extra definition."
